Memanfaatkan Microsoft Word 2007 Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Geometri di SMP

Standard competence of student in Junior High School particularly can be mentioned like in the below:

1.      Understanding the relation of line and angle, and also determine its size

2.      Understanding the concept of triangle and square and also determine its size

3.      Using Phytagoras Theorem to solve the problem

4.      Determining the element and the size of circle

5.      Understanding the characteristic of cube, block and determine its such

6.      Understanding congruency and use it to solve the problem

7.      Understanding the characteristic of cylinder, cone, ball and determine its size

With using various facilities in Microsoft Office 2007, we can develop learning media of geometry subject in Junior High School. We can get much a lot of geometry shape that we want, different size, different color, different appearance,  and also different point of view. To get different size we can type what size we want or dragged it. To get different appearance, we can use Rotation Tool, and so on.

Using Microsoft Word 2007 can do easily because this software available in every new generation computer. It also make student enjoyable learn math. Student can learn geometry independent or in group. It also gives clear vision of geometry shape. And the most important is increasing the student’s achievement.

But, first step that we must take is increasing the teacher’s skill to use various facilities that’s served Microsoft Word 2007. In here, the teacher is claimed to have high skill in using Microsoft Word 2007, to make complex geometry shape and also explained it to all of student. So, geometry come closer to us and useful in our daily life.
