KEGIATAN PENELITIAN SEBAGI USAHA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME GURU MATEMATIKA

 Research can be define as an activity to get knowledge, were done by certain procedures that systematically and support by methodology. Teacher as researcher can make a change in mathematics teaching learning in the school by various experiments, so it has result science method.
Truthfully, contemporary mathematics education research is mathematics research education that the researcher have awareness about how important understanding truthfully of mathematics, mathematics in school, mathematics education, learn mathematics theory, etc.
The view about the truth and mathematics character in school will give whole characteristic of mathematics. It has assumed that there are still many students that not like mathematics. There are some characteristics of mathematics such as: pure mathematics, applied mathematics and mathematics in school.
In order to develop student competences, assumption about the student characteristic has considered by the teacher, such as present fun activities, consider what student want, build knowledge from what student know, and also create a support class. Therefore, the implication in teaching learning mathematics is the teacher has to: know the lack and the specialty each f the student, plan activity that appropriate to student’s ability, and use an assessment.
The interaction between student and teacher will give critics to the concept so the student can get right concept.
Based on the emphasized about the certain aspect can be develop some model teaching learning as context mathematics education research, such as: reach concept model, research trainee model, synaptic model, group investigation model, etc. In the development some model, the teacher lay on two side paradigm, student centered or teacher centered. Generally, as our hope, mathematics education will be student centered paradigm and the teacher will be facilitator.  
The competence that must be has by teacher such a pedagogic competence, attitude competence, social competence and also professional competence. Pedagogic competence includes master in the teaching learning theory and also master in the content. Attitude competence includes do appropriating with religious, law, social, and culturing norm, etc.
If the teacher wants innovation in mathematics education so the research in mathematics education must be needed. Besides from the formal aspect, so research activity by the lecturer will give a lot of benefits. With mathematics education research we know the different in learning mathematics, we can know the placement of the student in a group, and can compare the result in various groups in class. The result of the research can use to accomplish the previous program.
