Lesson study isn’t a teaching method. Lesson Study is the scheme of teacher’s cooperation. Lesson study is done with hold the process of teaching learning by the teacher together. One of them holds the teaching learning process in the real class and the other observe and reflect what just have happen in that class.

The aim of lesson study is to develop learning process. Paradigm that want to built by lesson study are student centered, constructivist approach, realistic approach and contextual teaching learning.

The first step of lesson study is preparation, the second is practice, third is reflection and improvement. The reflection is done by the lecturer or the other teacher, meanwhile in the next time, the other teacher doing improvement by teaching in the same class but when the observation is being done in the class, observer can’t interrupt the explanation of the teacher (just look what happen and write it on the observation’s paper). Lesson study needs the “keterbukaan” from the teacher and full support from the stakeholder. Lesson study also needs theme such as how to develop the method of teaching learning, how to develop the media of learning, etc.

Lesson study guided by competence that will be reached by the students, lesson study need research and development of curriculum, syllabi and RPP, lesson study also support to develop media of learning, so lesson study support KTSP.

Lesson study develops teaching learning process so it needs to be socialized to all of the teachers in order to improve our education’s quality. Lesson study also need the commitment of the school, cooperation by the university and also need support from the stake holder.
