Laporan Penelitian PENGEMBANGAN KOMPETENSI GURU MATEMATIKA SMP RSBI MELALUI LESSON STUDY

Education has very important role in the improvement process quality of human resources. Therefore, education is expected to prepare the nation’s generation, so the nation have human resources that are reliable and have the ability to deal dynamic development of science and technology today, precise and effective.
The government conducting at least single-unit education at all level education to be developed into education units of international standards. This makes some schools developed into Pioneer School International Level (RSBI). Based on the expectations and fact the research doing trough Lesson Study.
Learning math should be based from human daily life activities, because mathematics is a human activity. So the approach that used in this research is Research Mathematics Education.
Lesson Study that held in the class covering many activities. On activities preliminary held meeting between the research team with teacher and students. Activities preliminary is very important and strategic  and produces the matters: 1. Agree themes and objectives of the study, 2. Equate understanding and perceptions about the references used among others about the concept of Realistic Mathematics, 3. Agreement schedule of implementation of lesson study in each school, 4. Agreement on who will become a model teacher, 5. Agreement the development of lesson plan and worksheet.
The implementation of lesson study activities conducted in one relay from school to other schools. Observation of activities carried out by researches, teachers and students as well as by teacher volunteers.
This research was done in Wates Junior High School and Galur Junior High School on 8th grade. After the research: the author has any suggest such as: longer time to make a plan that hoped can increase  Lesson Plan and Student’s Worksheet, need more explanation about development student’ worksheet, and need a workshop as an action to continue this research.
